I have decided to post this wedding in 2 parts. My brother and Katie got married last weekend so this is a rather special wedding to me! The wedding was held at Jagerhof Game Farm just outside Port Elizabeth. It was such a honour to be able to capture their photos (quite frankly I don’t think I would have had it any other way!) Since we live in Cape Town we weren’t able to help out with the planning and preparations – Katie’s sister, Donna, her mother and her friends did an absolutely excellent job of decorating the venue. They did it ALL themselves!!! It just shows you that you can still keep a wedding within a reasonable budget but not have to sacrifice having a beautifully decorated room. They all worked very hard and in the end it was well worth it. One of Katie’s friends made all the bridesmaids dresses and embelished Katie’s dress to make it exactly what she wanted. It was a beautiful wedding with close family and friends. My brother has played cricket in the UK over many years so has made some good friends over there. It was very heart warming that so many of them made the trip to come and share their day with them. Good on yer!
I have to say a huge thank you to Shannon Bradfield who was my second shooter – I really could not have captured everything without her. She captured all the photos of the guests arriving at the ceremony as well as some of the decor. She also captured some different perspectives during the ceremony. Thank you so much!!
…Part 2 coming soon!
